Desert Orthopaedic Center was founded in 1970 by Doctors John H. Payne and
Chester W. Eskey to provide care for problems of the musculoskeletal system, including bones,
joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves.
Since 1970 the Center has evolved into our current group of orthopaedic surgeons. We provide
general orthopaedic care and each doctor has special expertise in a sub-specialty area such as
sports medicine, total joint replacement or revision, arthroscopic reconstruction of the knee
and shoulder, microscopic hand surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, scoliosis and spinal deformities,
spinal surgery, and foot and ankle reconstruction. To stay current with the latest orthopaedic
care techniques, DOC physicians participate in seminars, conferences, and research studies.To provide the highest quality and most cost effective orthopaedic care, the physicians at DOC are assisted by many experienced and highly trained personnel.
Physician's Assistants aid in your clinical evaluation and your surgical care. Our technicians allow us to complete necessary X-rays in our office in a safe and convenient fashion. Our medical secretaries, business office personnel, and receptionists are skilled in dealing with insurance companies and various health care plans.
